We ended up calling ourselves The Stalemates, a fusion of punk, hardcore, ska, metal, latin, and some artsy fartsy shit our bass-player is into.  Just before booking our summer tour, our guitar player had to move back to Miami, so now we need an experienced, knowledgable guitar player who is a regular virtuoso, because we throw in just about every style we can think of and it can be hard to keep up, or, for some, to be so creatively flexible.

Current members, Brad Stewart (drums), Brandon Jesse (bass), Smikey Diaz (trumpet), Fronkie (vox/demon howls from hell), and sometimes Chris Welch (trombone) all have previous band experience, some you might be more familiar with. Brandon you might know if you ventured into AJ’s for some reason on a Saturday night and saw their frat-tastic cover band.  Then you could see why he might want to be in a real band where he gets to actually use his talent.  Fronkie (that’s me!), you might know from Madame President, Fall Down Fronkie and the 12 Steps, Buskaki, or Fronkie and the Sofla Kings (all of which were pretty much the same band) or just from any involvement with Call In Sick America/The Shed, cuz that’s kinda my life outside the tattoo shop.  Chris, of course, plays with Call For Fire, local ska-core show-booking whores.
